Connie Marlene Blackwood (Shaw) was born in Roswell, New Mexico, on September 21, 1953. She passed away December 30, 2014 at home in the Trophy Club, TX after a long battle with cancer. Connie graduated in 1971 from Wichita Falls High School and then from Texas Tech University with honors in 1975. She taught middle school math for two years before starting her career in communications. She first worked for Bell South, then Southwestern Bell, and finally with AT&T as an account executive. After this, she joined the AT&T U-Verse Team.

Connie is survived by her parents, three sisters and their husbands, four nieces, and one nephew. Her constant companion was Buck, her Australian Shepherd. She was loved and will be missed by her friends, neighbors, and colleagues.
