Here is a link to the article about which Greg spoke.  It is very sad to think about this situation.  I hope his family will get the information they need.

Thank you David for this information. I really appreciate you, my Friend. I could not find a phone number for the cementary, but I did call Joey Aboussie and we had a good talk about the situiation and he was aware of it and willing to step in and help out. Joey will let me know if I may be of service in any way possible. Although Lawerence and I were not running buddies, we did know each other. I always had great respect for him and thought he was a wonderful person. I would like to see clousure and completion of this as soon as possible out of respect for all his Family and Friends. Respectfully, Harry Huttash, 469 877 3390, harryhuttash@gmail.com

Lawrence was laid to rest in the East Lawn Cemetery on Bacon Switch Road just outside of Wichita Falls. The Cemetery is a disgrace to all who are buried there, uncut grass, sunken graves, people’s tombstones sunken or even fallen over from no solid ground under the stones, make sift roads to some graves!!!  No one should ever be be buried there!!!  I went there about a week ago & you couldn’t even drive your car in the Cemetery for all the deep potholes everywhere!!! It is a heartbreaking place to go see!!! Made me cry when I saw it!!!

What a shame to hear. What would it take to buy this cementary and get a group of volunteers to get it in top notch shap? Also talked with Joey again today and he is still looking into the situiation concerning Lawerence's final resting place.  Harry Huttash

As far as I know this place is not for sale & I couldn’t even begin to imagine just how much a place like this would begin to sell for!!!  Can a person even sell a Cemetery!!!  Looks like the City could make it be cleaned up & kept up!!!!  It’s truly a shameful place to see let alone to have your loved ones buried there!!!

Maybe it is time for someone leaving there in the community to call the television stations and demand that this situation is resolved. Getting this on the television news could possibly get some results and positive results, hopefully.

Steve Gardner, who worked with Lawrence at Patterson Auto, is working with Lawrence's family to get this situation corrected. Apparently, Steve & another guy were at the burial & waited behind after the family left to see the completed burial. So those two guys went back out there when this came up & located the grave site. Now Steve, with the direction from the family, will lead an effort to raise the funds to either provide a nice marker or to move Lawrence to a better-cared-for cemetery. Obviously, this will take some funds. I've told Steve about this class page & that there will probably be some that would like to donate to this cause. Steve has also talked to Joey A so one of us will let you know what is decided & give you the opportunity to contribute. Hope you all are well! Stay safe!!! KMcG

Thank you for your help Katherine. Let's please get this resolved and have peaceful closure for the Family and Friends of Lawrence. I would be glad to help once a decsion has been made with a completed course of action. Surely there are enough people that could donate and get this done. I will be glad and honered to be one of them. Harry Huttash
