Dr. Jan Barnes, 57, of Weatherford, Texas, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, at a local care facility.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

Dr. Barnes, a native of Wichita Falls, was a practicing physician for 19 years.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. John Barnes of Weatherford; daughter, Cindy of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; daughter, Laurie Patterson of Weatherford; son, Bruce of Red Oak, Texas; son, Michael of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Ann of Corsicana, Texas; son, John II of Mesquite, Texas; son, Tom Pease of Corsicana; six grandchildren; sister, Judith Whitmire of Ocean Side, Calif.; two brothers, George Bacon of Huntsville, Texas, and Roger Bacon of Houston.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to The Friends of the Alzheimer's Disease Center, UT Southwestern Medical Center, P.O. Box 910888, Dallas, Texas, 75391-0888.
