Edna Kathleen Kluver Boren, 67, of Wichita Falls, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, October 6, 2017 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2017 in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Kathy was born on December 3, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late George and Giola (Morgan) Kluver.  She graduated from Wichita Falls Senior High School and later received her BBA from MSU as well as her certification in Special Ed.  She was a member of First Christian Church, and a former member of Highland Heights Christian Church.  Kathy was also a member of Alpha Phi Sorority, and a former member of the Senior-Junior Forum, the Wichita Falls Board of Zoning and Adjustment, and the Wichita Falls Civic Chorus.  Before retiring, Kathy was a homebound Special Ed Teacher for WFISD for many years.  She enjoyed planting flowers and was an amazing cook, but most of all; Kathy had a passion for taking care of others, and would do anything for her children.

She is survived by her children, Kenny Boren and wife Brooke of Wichita Falls, Valerie Harrison and husband Bond of Stephenville, and Kevin Boren of Wichita Falls; her sister, Linda Christoff and husband John; her brother, Mark Kluver and wife Kay all of Wichita Falls; five grandchildren, Blaire, Blake, and Beckett Boren, and Liam and Wyatt Harrison; her former husband and friend, Gerald Boren of Wichita Falls; nieces and nephews, Derrick Christoff, Melinda Berger, Chris Kluver, and Kyle Kluver; and her aunt, Polly Benedict of Altus, Oklahoma.
