Sheila Diann (Knight) Dean, 59, of Vernon, passed away Friday, April 23, 2010, in Wichita Falls, after a lengthy illness.

The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Turner, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Petrolia Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Sheila was born on August 4, 1950, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Clem and Dortha (Wade) Knight. She graduated from Petrolia High School in 1968, and later worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She loved gardening, listening to “old-country” music, and enjoyed traveling. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be missed dearly by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dortha Knight; a sister, Yvonne Knight; and her brother, Roger Knight.

She is survived by her loving husband, Garey Dean of Vernon; two daughters, Shanna Brewer and partner Lisa Morgan, and Danya Stewart and husband Lance; her father, Clem Knight; two grandsons, Landon and Lane Stewart, all of Wichita Falls; sister-in-law, Gilda Knight of Petrolia; three stepsons, Garey Dean of Greenwood, Tanner Dean of Wichita Falls, and Daniel Dean of Lubbock; two nieces, and one nephew.
