Rodney A. Mallonee, 60, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2010, in San Antonio, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010, in Crestview Memorial Park with Dr. Michael Roberson of Lamar Baptist Church officiating. Services are under the direction of Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home.
Rod was born in Wichita Falls on March 27, 1950, to Aaron and Geneva (Huling) Mallonee. Rod was a voracious reader and especially liked to read paperback books. He also loved to play table games. His family will also fondly remember his good sense of humor. Rod had worked in the used car business all of his life and had lived and worked in San Antonio the past 15 years.
Rod was preceded in death by his father, Aaron Mallonee and Harry Campsey, who he considered his second father. He is survived by his mother, Geneva Campsey of Wichita Falls, Texas; his daughter, Kalee Mallonee of Frisco, Texas, and her mother Doris Mallonee of League City, Texas; two sisters, Diane Farley and husband Steve of San Antonio, Texas, and Harriett Sides and husband L.W. of Jacksboro, Texas; two brothers, Ben Mallonee and wife Dena of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Michael Campsey and wife Julie of Jacksboro, Texas; and by four nephews, Brandon Mallonee, Jeff Farley, Mike Farley and Greg Farley.
