Earl L. McDaniel Jr., 59, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, in Wichita Falls.

The funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2009, at the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls with Rev. Duane Perkinson of Central Baptist Church of Burkburnett, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

A son of the late Earl and Myrtle McDaniel, he was born on January 23, 1950, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He served our country in the United States Navy during Vietnam and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. On March 23, 1978, he married Pamela L. Schenk. Earl was most recently employed by the U.S. Civil Service in the Contracting Squadron at Sheppard Air Force Base. He was a member of the American Mountain Man Association, held a ham-radio license, and loved craftsmanship. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Shirley; and his brother, Roy.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Pam McDaniel; his daughter and son-in-law, Rachael and Raymond Maxie; his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Iliana Hayhurst; three grandchildren who he adored, Viviana, Dillon and Avianna; his foster mother, Janie Crowe; a brother, Mike McDaniel; and his special buddy, his cat Pita.

Earl was such a sweet guy and had such a kind personanilty. He was decicated to football and W.F.H.S. His Loving Memory will remain in my heart eteranlly. Rest In Peace Dear Friend. Love, Cindy
