Layne Morgan died August 2, 2010 in Wichita Falls after a 17 year illness.  A native of Wichita Falls and a graduate of the Hockaday School, Layne was born February 17, 1955.

She was he granddaughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Morgan and Mr. & Mrs. P.S. Richardson.  She was preceeded in death by her father, Ralph Morgan, Jr.  She is survived by her mother, Barbara Burkman; Stepfather, Donald Burkman; her step-mother, Patricia M. Thacker; and a sister, Leigh McDonnell.  Other survivors include a niece, Shelly Stuart and nephew, James McDonnell.  Layne was under the care of the Monterey Care Center and Hospice for many years prior to her death.
