I met Vicki after she moved into our neighborhood, Rivercrest Park in the 1st grade at Crockett school. We spent a lot of time at each others house. Her mother Billie (which i always liked) drove us around in her big yellow Cadillac.( I still have a thing for Cadillacs):) I remember sleeping in Vicki's hugh king size bed with the velvet tufted headboard. Not quite the twin bed i was used to. Ha! Vicki and I would giggle till our stomachs hurt. Vicki sorta enjoyed bossing me around but that was ok all our adventures were worth it. Ha! Seriously, I enjoyed being Vicki's childhood friend. She was a bright girl. Always a step ahead of me. It was alot of fun ! I do miss Vicki and Billie. When I was 16, in town visiting my grandparents I stopped by to visit w Billie after her recent divorce. She was attending nursing school and was moving on. I remember I was flattered when Billie said she wished I never moved away. With in the month, Billie was killed in a tragic auto accident, hit by a drunk driver. First I'd heard of an accident referred to like that! Wish it was my last. I couldn't belive how Vicki's life changed after that. Fortunanly she was blessed with 4 daughters and I'm sure was a good Mother.
