Gwen passed away from breast cancer in October 2002 at the age of 47.  She is survived by her husband and daughter.  "She played the alto sax in the Big Red Band from Coyote Land.  She was very smart, always on the honor roll.  She was the oldest of 5 siblings and she helped each one of them.  She was very kind to all she met.  She was a dear friend."
