Kyle Russell

Kyle Russell

Kyle David Russell, 61, of Wichita Falls, found peace in God's rest on Thursday, August 20, 2015, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Kyle was born on July 14, 1954 to the late Bud and Leonida Russell.  He graduated from Wichita Falls High School in '73 and from MSU in '94.  Kyle retired from civil service at Sheppard Air Force Base where he was a training manager.  He is survived by his wife Trina Russell of Wichita Falls; two sons, Kristopher Russell, Ryan Russell and daughter-in-law Erin Russell; his brother Sam Russell, of Atlanta; and his sister-in-law, Marian, of Wichita Falls.

As a devout Christian, he regularly gathered with the Church at Faith Village Church of Christ where he enjoyed teaching Bible Classes.  His service in God's Kingdom often took him to join in mission work in Mexico and Honduras.

Kyle was known for his humor and his big personality, travelling the world with his lovely wife, for being a local action photographer, and for being a regular fixture in the local bowling leagues at Village Bowl.  For all who knew him, his presence and wit will be missed.

Services will be Saturday, August 22, at 10 am at Faith Village Church of Christ.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Tx  76310 or to Breaking Chains, the mission effort Kyle loved so much in Honduras, www.bchonduras.org.  Condolences to the family may be made online at www.lunnscolonial.com.

Deepest sympathies to Kyle's family in his passing. Kyle was able to attend our 40th reunion and thoroughly enjoyed himself.  It was obvious he loved life, loved his wife and family, and loved God.  Men like you will be greatly missed, Kyle.

What a great guy Kyle always was! He always took the time to smile and speak. He was wonderful seeing him at the Reunion .
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Such a great guy. Had not seen him in years. Always a smile and warm handshake. The Lord now has a great one with Him.
