
Margaret Ann Brown Smith, 60, of Wichita Falls, Texas, joined her heavenly father in heaven on Thursday, July 17, 2014. Margaret was a resident of Wichita Falls, Tx at the time of her passing.
A Celebration of Life was held on July 21st at Our Lady Queen of Peace, with Rev. Sojan George officiating. Burial followed at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Chase Lindley, Bryce Smith, Benton Brown, John Macha, Barry Macha, and Paul Macha.
Margaret came into this world with a bang on Independence Day 1954 and just celebrated her 60th birthday with a surprise party joined by all of her family and friends. She graduated from WFHS in 1973 and spent most of her adult life doing what she loved, being a wife, mother and grandmother. She worked for a few years as a TSA agent at the municipal airport and enjoyed her job and co-workers. Margaret also worked many special events at the MPEC and donated countless hours to the Meals on Wheels Program.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Robert Wayne Smith, her son, Michael Smith and wife Misty; her daughter Jeanann Smith LaMascus and husband Gabriel; her 6 grandchildren, Brittany, Breanna, and Bryce Smith and Chase and Kylie LIndley, and Christian LaMascus. She is also survived by her two brothers, Michael Brown and Mark Brown and his wife Nancy, one niece Christie Gallager and one nephew Benton Brown and his wife Kristen. Margaret always regarded her Macha cousins as part of her immediate family and loved them as if they were. She also treasured her close friends Wanda Womack and Debbie Lain. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Chester Mutt Warren and Martha Mop Lewis Brown. Her family takes comfort in knowing her parents were there to welcome her homecoming.
