Henrietta — Bruce Strickland, 62, of Henrietta, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm, Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the Joy Baptist Church in Joy, Texas with Rev. Keith Laude, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Joy Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.

Bruce was born on January 17, 1955 in New Groton, Connecticut to Donald H. and Alice Idella (Sinclair) Strickland. He married Linda (Sears) Strickland on March 10, 1982 in Wichita Falls. Bruce was retired from Certainteed in Wichita Falls where he worked as an alloy welder. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Linda Strickland of Joy, Texas; two daughters, Christi Klyn and husband Mark of Henrietta, and Meggan Boyd and husband Derrick of Granbury, Texas; son, Chad Moore of Joy, Texas; five grandchildren, Sarah Klyn, Ella Klyn, Blake Moore, Emili Winkler, and Tinsli Boyd; two brothers, Barry Strickland and wife Jodee of Brenerton, Washington, and Charlie Strickland and wife Dyanne of Wichita Falls, Texas.

The family will be at Davis Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
