Freddie Tarin

Fernando (Freddie) Lugo Tarin Jr., 61, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2016 in the chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home with Pastor Chad Stubblefield, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Freddie was born to Fernando Tarin Sr. and Aileen Chavis on May 1, 1955 in Vernon Texas, before moving to Wichita Falls, where he spent most of his life. Freddie proudly served our country in the United States Army, and later was employed at I.E.S.I. until his death.

Freddie loved Chevy trucks, he enjoyed working in the yard, and watching his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Mary Lou Ozuna.

Freddie is survived by his wife, Barbie; his stepchildren, Jared and Laycee Vaughn; a daughter, Jamy Hicks; his grandchildren, Payton, Jonah, Liliana, and Brooklynn and Brielle; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Freddie's name to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310. Many thanks to the staff for the wonderful care and support gave to Freddie.
