Stephenia Jean (McCoy) Taylor went to be with the Lord on Monday June 20th at age 64. She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Jerry Taylor; children, Michelle Bullitt Smith, Melanie (& husband Chris) Gustanski, and Stacey Taylor Tabb; nine grandchildren; 2 brothers, Floyd (Skip) McCoy and Doug McCoy; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson Jared Smith.

She was born on August 31, 1946. She was a life long resident of Wichita Falls. Stephenia graduated from Midwestern State University with a degree in Education and taught school at Ben Franklin Elementary school for 26 years. She loved working with children and made many wonderful memories with her students. The most important things to Stephenia were her beloved grandchildren. Stephenia was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church and was very dedicated to her bible study group.

After her retirement from teaching she filled her days with water aerobic classes, playing Mahjong with her many friends, volunteered for Meals on Wheels and enjoyed traveling worldwide to see her family.

There will be a Visitation for family and friends on Thursday, June 23rd, from 6-7 pm at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home, located at 2812 Midwestern Parkway Wichita Falls, TX. A celebration of Stephenia's life will be held Friday, June 24th, at 10 am at Faith Baptist Church, located at 3001 Southwest Parkway Wichita Falls, TX. Graveside services will follow at Crestview Cemetery. Friends are invited to join the family for lunch at Faith Baptist Church following the graveside services.
