Evelyn Darby Jacobs, 75, passed away October 24, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas with her children by her side. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Ft. Sam Houston Golf Club 11:00-1:00.

Evelyn was born February 26, 1946 in Massachusetts, and grew up along the Texas/Oklahoma border. After graduating from Midwestern State University in 1968, Evelyn moved to S.A. and began her devoted teaching career that would last four decades.

Evelyn left a memorable and lasting impression on the lives of those whom she came in contact. From attending Hurricane Island Outward Bound School to participating in the West Texas Environmental Study institute, she knew no bounds. She would bring everything she learned back into the classroom to inspire those around her.

Survivors include her loving children Rob Jacobs (Amy) and Allison McGurk (Robert), and grandchildren Kyle, Lauren, Darby, Jacob and Baker who were the highlight of her life. In Evelyn's memory, the family asks that you pet a dog, ride a horse, love your family, cherish your friendships, get lost in a good book, and support the Austin German Shepherd Dog Rescue. We are all better for knowing her.
