Since 1979, my career has taken me to both coast of the USA. I moved from Wichita, KS to Clermont, FL to Redding, CA, to Wichita, KS, Simi Valley, CA and currently Kansas City, MO. I currently work for a fundraising consulting firm out of Evergreen, CO. I’ve been with the company for about 14 years and have the title of Vice President. Not too many people stay with a particular company for extended years, but this job is very unique, challenging and rewarding. The work I do is to organize and run multi-million dollar fundraising campaigns for non-profit organizations, mainly hospitals. Occasionally, I get to work with historical societies, opera houses, zoos and religious orders. I move to a different community about once every 12 months to run a campaign for a client. Every month I get a week off to come “home”. My clients are mainly in the Midwest, but I worked in Simi Valley, CA at their hospital for two years and did some pro-bono work for a movie production company. As with every job, it has its pros and cons, but I consider myself lucky to be able to see the different areas of the Country and, every community have its own story… it makes life interesting. I’ve been as far North as Ely, MN (great place in the summer {:0) and as far South as Texarkana, AK. Recently, my duties have changed slightly to include marketing in KS, MO & OK. So after 14 years I am planting my feet and building a modern log home near Lone Jack, MO. Hopefully, if the weather holds out, I’ll be moving in around April 09… can’t wait! On the personal note, I am single and enjoying the life of independence. My hobbies include hiking, I am a die-hard KC Chiefs fan, (terrible year, but light at the end of the tunnel) I enjoy the outdoors and playing the piano. So I am enjoying my life. Can’t wait for the reunion!!
