Obituary
AKSAMIT, Jon Alan, 51, died peacefully, Monday, October 8, 2007, in Brandon, Fla. A memorial service will
be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, October 15, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East, Wichita, Kan. He is survived
by his parents, Frank and Rebecca Aksamit; his brother, Roger of Houston, Texas; and sister, Mary and
brother-in-law, Ed Sinayi of Ruidoso, N.M. Jon was a graduate of Wichita East High School in 1974 and
Wichita State in 1978. After graduation, Jon worked for Boeing Aircraft in the purchasing department. In
1999, he moved to Deland, Fla., and was employed by the telephone company there. He later moved to
Brandon, Fla., where he worked as a document carrier. Jon loved modern music and had quite a record
collection. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed both football and baseball. While in Brandon, he found
a love for modern dance and every Saturday night was a dance participant. Jon loved people and was
everybody' s friend. He is mourned by family and friends. Tributes may be sent to the family via
