Alan was a long time friend.  We became friends in the seventh grade.  He was a very happy go lucky person.  My heart goes out to his lovely wife and daughters.  I think the fondest memory for me was when I became engaged, he took a look at the ring and said, "good ring", now let's go sell it and get married.  That was his way of saying he approved.  What a guy he was.  He will be missed at the reunion and will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

I remember Alan helping me get into my locked 1949 Chevy after school by breaking the wing glass window with a screw driver.  I was so glad he helped me however, my dad was not happy at all about the broken window.  He was always nice to everyone it didn't matter who you were.

I remember Alan as a wonderful friend who was kind and considerate to everyone.  What a loss to our class.  Most of my friends from junior high went to East or South and so I made new friends and Alan was one I treasured.  Marjorie Wright Stephans
