Ivan John Kirkwood

 Kirkwood, Ivan John an Air Force Veteran and retired journeyman lithographer, 71, went to be with his Lord on July 27. He passed away at home with wife and daughter in attendance. He was born on Oct. 31, 1945 to Wilber E. "Kirk" Kirkwood and Vesta Roberta "Bobbie" Kirkwood. He attended Martinson grade school, Allison Jr High, and West High, where he played football and wrestled. He graduated from West in 1963, and joined the USAF, to be shipped out to basic training one day after graduation. He was honorably discharged in May 1967 as a Staff Sergeant. He married Carol Lee Mccune-Watts on May 15, 1965. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Melvin Kirkwood, daughter Diana and son Preston. He is survived by his wife, Carol, sons Morgan (Lisa) and Drake; daughter Sherri: grandchildren; Christopher Retzlaff, Kimberlee Diane Retzlaff, John (Kelsey) Retzlaff, Justus Edward Kirkwood, Colson Neal Kirkwood, Brooke Elise Kirkwood, Drake Wilber Ian Kirkwood; great-grandchildren Tobias Matthew Retzlaff and Ava Sue Retzlaff.; sister, Barbara Derifield; brother, Greg (Jan) Kirkwood, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Memorial service is Saturday, August 26, 11:00 AM, at University Friends Church, 1840 W. University, Wichita KS.
