Bobby E. Gile, 80, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Bob was born in Wellington, KS on December 29, 1928 to Harl and Nellie (Walden) Gile, the youngest of 14 children. He entered the Air Force in 1948 and served 4 years, 18 months in Korea. Bobby graduated from WSU in 1956 with a B.A. in Business/Education. He also received a MS in Education from Emporia State. In 1958 he married Elaine Malone and coached at Hadley Jr. High and West High School for 9 years. He was the first franchisee for Taco Pete at K-15 and Pawnee for 28 years. He also raised registered Angus cattle, and loved to play golf, having 3 holes-in-one. Bob had an unshakable faith in God and loved the Lord and his Catholic faith. He was a daily communicant for more than 30 years.
