Danelle Hoving (Desjarlais)

Dani was born on September 24, 1955 to Thor and Alma Hoving.  She graduated in the Honor Group of her high school class.

Dani married Jim Desjarlais in 1973.  After the loss of their first son, the Desjarlais' moved to Billings  Dani became employed by Long Cosntruction and worked her way up to Office Manager and Corporate Officer.  Another son was born in 1977 who was her pride and joy.

In 1993, Dani was one of the first patienets to survive a breast cancer stem cell transplant at the Fred Hutchinson Clinic in Seattle.  Later she was part of a vaccine research study at the UW.  For six months, she would fly to Seattle weekly in the morning and come home that night.  For several summers, she and her friends took part in the Susan G Komen Relay for Life in Helena.  

Dani liverd her life to the fullest.  Having many hobbies and interests, she crocheted afghans for most of her family members.  She always had pets and loved spending weekends in the mountains.

Dani passed away on July 14, 2005 at her home from compications due to breast cancer.  She fought the disease with courage for 16 years and always held her head high.
