Scott Bradley Mendro was born on September 23, 1955, in Williston, ND to Joseph and Joan (Price) Mendro.

He was raised in Williston where he graduated from Williston High School in 1973 and went on to college at the University of North Dakota. Scott was a hard worker in a variety of jobs throughout his life, but some of his favorite memories to share were from working for his dad at CE Natco.

Scott had a great sense of humor, loved to tell jokes, play cards and perform magic tricks for kids. He also enjoyed spending time outside playing golf and going fishing. Scott enjoyed visiting friends and family and often brought gifts and fresh produce to share. He also made time to keep in touch with people through regular phone calls, just to check in. Many people experienced his thoughtfulness throughout his life. Scott had greatly enjoyed spending the last few winters in sunny Arizona.

Scott is survived by his siblings, Joseph (Lynn) Mendro of Grand Forks, ND; Lou Mendro of Ray, ND; Timothy (Stacey) Mendro of Dickinson, ND; Patrice (Jon) Maristuen of Williston, ND, nieces and nephews, Mikael Rockstad, Joseph Mendro, Brad Rockstad, Amy Langseth, Jaron Long, Jennie Black, Whitney Oxendahl, Spencer Mendro, Samantha Brothers, McHale Maristuen, Greta Kollbaum, and many great nieces and nephews.

Scott is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Joan Mendro.

Rest in Peace my dear friend.  Scott and I, along with 20 other kids in the summer between 4th and 5th grade, started drumming lessons.  Out of 22 kids only Scott and I survived.  Sometime during Junior High Bobbie moved from another town to Williston and joined our duo.  I can still see that fair skin, freckled, red hair boy across the band room pounding on his practice pad.  It was an instant crush.  We stayed drummer friends all the way through high school.  I even got up the nerve to ask him to the Rainbow formal.  He said yes but then came down with the mumps.

Scott was full of life.  Always on the go.  He had such a wonderful sense of humor.  The world just lost a wonderful man.

My condolences go out to Scott's siblings and their families.  Someday, we'll meet again my friend.

Gaylene Peterson (Anderson)
