"It is with great sadness and dismay that I announce the death of Michelle Allen on Tuesday, Feb. 10. Michelle has been one of my best friends for nearly 29 years and often made my Andrews years worthwhile. I saw her last on New Year's Eve when my husband and I were in Ohio for the holidays. I am devastated, to say the least, and it's still difficult to imagine her no longer being in my life, at least in the physical sense. She was the kind of friend everyone should have but that not everyone is lucky enough to have.  Andrews always had a special place in her heart, as did her classmates. I have no doubt she is now watching over us all."
