Jerry (Bubba) was more than just a classmate to me. He was part of my family. I loved him very much. I still pray every night for his wife and children as well as his parents, Jerry and Vickie. He will never be forgotten!!

It was early morning, very cold outside, and there were about 12 of us standing in front of the double doors waiting for the bell. It was pretty quiet. I remember Jerry making this buzzing sound, like a fly buzzing around your ear. He was remarkably good at it, and in a few minutes he had us all cracking up. Always cordial and ready to spring a laugh. Hard to forget a guy like that.

For those that did not get to attend Bubba's funeral it was amazing. I think the count was 700 in attendance. It was a true celebration of a life that was living for Christ. I was like wow what a true inspiration to the class of "89 to know someone had been out touching so many peoples lives. I love you Jerry "my cuz"!!!

He was kind to everyone and had a smile that could brighten a room. His laughter could be heard through out the hallways!
