Michael Hayes Fay, 40, of Wilmington, DE, died on December 27, 2011. A loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle, he will be missed tremendously.

After graduating from Brandywine High School, Michael graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Delaware, where he went on to earn his MBA in marketing. He most recently worked as E-Commerce Marketing Director at JPMorgan Chase in Wilmington.

A lover of animals, Michael never hesitated to take in a stray or care for his own dogs and cats through the years, as well as support local animal organizations. His passions included vacationing in Florida, attending UD football games, playing guitar, maintaining aquariums, rooting for the Flyers, and horse racing, with annual family trips to Keeneland and Saratoga.

Michael was happiest when he was surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his wife and best friend, Ann Burckell Fay; son Teddy; parents Irma Jane and J. Wayne Lewis, and J. Michael and Mary Fay; grandfather L. Franklin Hayes; sister Laura Lewis Brown; brothers Jamie Lewis, and Joseph and Daniel Fay; and dogs Ulfie and Teddy. Michael also leaves behind his niece, nephews, aunt, uncle, brothers- and sisters-in-law, cousins, and friends, who will forever miss his sharp wit and kind heart.
