Eddie Gene Mahler, Jr., 42, a long-time Newark resident passed suddenly May 10th, 2013. Following his BSME degree from Delaware, he spent a decade as a, software applications developer then devoted his time to personal investing and consulting. There will be no public service now as his friends and family will have a celebration of life event memorializing Eddie in November. His wit and friendliness will be acutely missed by those left behind.

He is survived by family, all living locally: his parents, Cathy and Ed Mahler, his sister Cecille Brant and husband Greg, his brother Wesley and wife Tina Mahler and five nephews. His nephew and godson Lance Corporal Zachary Mahler,USMC and nephews Johsua and Nicholas Mahler, Trevor and Thomas Brant. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. May God shower him with tender mercies today and forever.
