Check out my profile for a photo of Marty. In our sophomore year, Marty and I were caught, by Mr. Jeffers, smoking on the bus in front of the school. Jeffers yelled that Marty and I broke the school rules, he was calling our parents, and we had to spend the whole next day in detention. That night, no call the parents, whew. The next day at school? Jeffers told Marty and me that he had to come down hard on us because parents of some kids on the bus complained that their kids smelled like cigarettes. He told us to hang out in his office for the day and take all three lunch periods. Marty and I enjoyed a day "off" from school and spent all three lunch periods on the smoking court. Ah, the good ol' days.Michelle Baum (Holloway)
