Peter J. Burek, age 75, of Kenmore died suddenly on Monday, April 22, 2024, at his residence. Peter was born September 3, 1948, in Buffalo, the son of the late John and Dorothy (Grzybowski) Burek. He was a graduate of Wilson High School and received a B.S. in Geology from the University of Buffalo. As a young man, Peter worked at Harrison Radiator in Lockport as well as at Pfeiffer Foods in Wilson.
He was an avid book collector and a 50 year member of the Buffalo Geological Society.
He is survived by his lifelong companion, Jeanette Miller and was "grandfather" to Bridget and Marlon Miller; "great grandfather" to Marlon and Kameron, and "special great grandfather" to Evelyn. He is also survived by a brother, Patrick M. Burek and a half brother, Michael Jurus, and a half sister, Kathy Jurus.
