Ms. Karen Susan "'Sue Sue" Newsome, 48, of 116 4th Street, SE, Wilson, NC, passed away on May 16, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

The funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 2:30 pm at Perry's Temple OFWB Church, 5000 Tarts Mill Road, Wilson, NC. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street Ext., Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC, with the family present from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm to receive friends. 

Ms. Newsome leaves many cherished memories to: one brother, Michael Eric Tillery, Sr. (Kimberly); two aunts, Maude Barnes and Olean Bullock (James"Pig") both of Wilson, NC; six nephews, Montel Coleman, Michael Eric Tillery, Jr., Jahterius Horne, Jamier Mitchell and Malachi Jones all of Wilson, NC and PVT Desmond Pettaway of Fort Meade Maryland; six nieces, Shenesha Mitchell (Michael), Tyesha Ingram (Shelton), Trinitee Hamson, Keimorah Mitchell, Shanayah Howard and Aliyah Eatmon all of Wilson, NC; her god mother, Loise Miller of Wilson, NC; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Tillery of Wilson, NC; two special friends, Delores Crawford-Carey and Cornelius " Bo Pete" Roundtree both of Wilson, NC; her dog/baby, Angel; a host of other dear relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home where they will assemble on Sunday at 1:30 pm in preparation for the funeral procession.
