I guess I just really wanted to say that my husband, Lee, has been suffering from Alzheimer's disease for at least the last 10 years. I do get the emails from Wilson High but have not responded. Not exactly the kind of news you want to hear for an upcoming reunion, but I thought that those who were good friends of his would want to know.
Lee retired after 35 years with the Dept. of Defense as a military geographer, specializing in SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape). He enjoyed his job immensely.
He was an avid skier, which is how we met more than 25 years ago.
He always joked about how he was the most un-athletic guy in high school, yet when I met him he was, as I said, a great skier, was on two softball teams and a soccer team. We did a lot of hiking and camping over the years.
He used to talk often of many of you that he went to school with.
