I graduated from Southwestern in 2004 with a BA degree in Early Childhood Education. Kevin and I got married in my backyard in 2004. We moved to Peoria, IL where I taught preschool, kindergarten and 1st grade in a tiny private Jewish School for two years. in 2007 we decided that we weren't quite ready to settle in Illinois so we quit our jobs and traveled around South America for about 5 months, fulfilling a shared long time dream. After that, out of money and jobless, we returned to Winfield for a few months. We weren't exactly sure what to do next and so when my brother, who was working in China, offered us a job at his school we accepted right away. We spent the next year teaching English in Beijing at a Chinese boarding school. After that we traveled for a few months through South East Asia. We returned to Winfield the day after Christmas. Now we are working and thinking more about the future...and deciding that we better think more seriously about hanging on to our jobs. Although, we definitely wouldn't change anything we have done! :)
