Chansanouk N. Sengchan, a 20-year-old sophomore from Winfield, died at about 2 a.m. near 15th and Bob White.

Sgt. Mike Pattrick said Lawrence police were called to the scene at 2:15 a.m. and found Sengchan ejected from his 1996 Acura, which had rolled and come to rest on its top.

Sengchan was pronounced dead at the scene, Pattrick said.

In a written statement, KU Chancellor Robert Hemenway on Friday sent his condolences to the Sengchan family, which includes an older brother who is a senior at KU.

Pattrick said the investigation will continue.
