Moved to Springfield, MO for college (Southwest MO State U), thinking I would go to medical school and become a surgeon or ER doc. Became an ICU nurse instead -- and enjoy working with those cocky surgeons and adrenaline-junkie trauma doc's instead. : ) I do love my job and wouldn't change a thing.
Met my husband Doug in 2001 building houses for Habitat for Humanity at college; married in 2005 and welcomed our son Gabe in Jan 2008. We spend our time chasing the lil' guy around and fixing up our 100-yr old farm house outside Springfield MO.
