Randy Conner

Randy A. Conner, 44, of Winfield, died Dec. 8, 2000, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Miles Funeral Service. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to 9 p.m. Monday.

A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Conner was born Oct. 1, 1956, in Arkansas City, to Carrol Ann (Collins) and Adron Abe Conner. He attended Winfield schools and received his General Equivalency Diploma.

After high school he went to work for Mike's Phillips 66 in Winfield for a few years. In 1979 he went work at B&S Well Service and had many jobs in oil fields. He also worked at Skyline in Arkansas City and Morton Buildings. His last part-time job was at Goob's Place in Winfield.

He was involved with the Walnut Valley Festival and the Sons of the American Legion.

Survivors include his family, Abe and Carrol Conner, a brother, Ricky Conner, and two sisters, Lisa Marney and Wendy Handley, all of Winfield.
