DEBRA LYNN (DRAKE) SCHULHOF, 52, of Centennial, Colorado, passed away Friday evening, October 24, 2008 at the Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
Born on March 20, 1956 in Lubbock, Texas, she was the daughter of Don W. and Joan A. (David) Drake. The family moved to rural Winfield, Kansas where she attended Sunnyside and Country View Schools. Debra graduated from Winfield High School in 1974. She received her Bachelors Degree in Business and Marketing from Kansas State University in 1978.
In 1979, she moved to the Denver, Colorado area and was employed for Chandler Oil Company of Denver as a budget analyst.
She was united in marriage on November 5, 1983 to Milford H. Schulhof, II., in Denver. Debra was a loving mother and homemaker.
She was a member of the Grandview United Methodist Church, Pi Beta Phi, Book Club and Cherry Knolls Tennis Club. Debra enjoyed volunteering for Arapahoe High School, the Swedish Medical Center and Littleton Public Schools. She also loved spending time with her family, sewing, home décor, knitting, needlework, reading, skiing, travel and tennis.
Her family includes: Her husband: Milford of the home; Her daughters: Lindsey Diane Schulhof and Erin Nicole Schulhof both of the home; Her parents: Don W. and Joan A. Drake of Winfield, KS; and Her brothers: David Drake of Derby, KS; and Scott Drake of Winfield, KS. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Vernon & Neva (Weigle) Drake; Roy & Edna (Myers) David; her in-laws, Harold & Darlene Schulhof; and her uncle, Glen David.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the Grandview United Methodist Church northeast of Winfield. Interment will follow at the Wilmot Cemetery. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 29, 2008.
A memorial has been established in Debra’s name for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation: 60 East 56th Street-8th Floor, New York, NY 10022. Contributions may be made through the funeral home or directly the Foundation.
