OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Rebecca “Becky” (Laws) Gulick, 57, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Winfield, passed away Aug. 12, 2013.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Chaplin Nature Center in Arkansas City.
Arrangements are by Corbett Funeral Services, 807 W. Wilshire Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73116.
Becky was born Feb. 21, 1956, in Winfield, to Leonard and Janet (Owen) Laws. She attended Winfield High School.
She married James H. Gulick on Feb. 8, 1980.
Becky’s love of nature led her to many years of volunteering with the local Girl Scouts, especially at camps Bradbury and Four Winds. Her home was always full of plants, and later in life she enjoyed bird watching. Other pastimes Becky enjoyed included curling up with a good book and playing with her cat Stringer. She also took great pleasure in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her brother, David Laws.
Survivors include her husband, James H. “Jim” Gulick, of the home; son, Tony Gulick, Winfield; daughters, Kristi Desinise, Atlanta, Ga., Rachel Gulick, Emporia, and Jessica Sommer, Winfield; brothers, Greg Laws, Derby, and Ken Laws, Palo Alto, Calif.; and several grandchildren.
