Mickey Webb

Michael R. "Mickey" Webb, 50, of Winfield, died Oct. 31, 2006, at William Newton Hospital.

Cremation has taken place.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Church of the Nazarene. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established with the First Church of the Nazarene. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

 

Mickey was born Jan. 4, 1956, in Ashland, to David and Ruthelma (Kuhns) Webb. He was raised and educated in Ashland and later in Winfield. He graduated from Winfield High School in 1975 before attending Mid-American Nazarene College in Olathe. While still in high school, he was involved in the Winfield Community Theatre.

He and Janet Riley married on Aug. 19, 1978. They later divorced.

Mickey was employed as a police officer in Liberal and later was employed at the Lansing Correctional Facility as a correctional officer.

He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Mickey loved music and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Webb.

Survivors include his girlfriend, Janet Goodman, Winfield; a daughter, Kristen Webb, Leavenworth; his mother, Ruthelma Webb, Winfield; his brothers, David Webb, and his wife, Linda, Des Moines, Iowa, Donald Webb and his wife, Elaine, Kansas City, Kan., and Rodger Webb, and his wife, Gayle, Winfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
