Michael D. Widler, 48, of Winfield, died April 5, 2004, at William Newton Hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Swisher-Taylor and Morris Chapel. Burial will be in Tannehill Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials have been established with the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association and Grace United Methodist Church.
A lifelong Winfield resident, Widler was born Dec. 7, 1955, to Margaret (Letterman) and Frank B. Widler. He graduated from Winfield High School in 1974. He also graduated from Cowley County Community College and attended Southwestern College.
Widler worked as a farm laborer for the McClung Brothers Farm, at Valley Coop and at Rubbermaid.
He was a member of the J.C.'s Bowling League, the National Rifle Association and Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret Widler, Winfield; a sister, Janis McClung, Winfield, and four nieces.
