Jeff Norton, 71, of Lemont, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home due to heart failure on March 21, 2021. Jeff was born in Winona, MN on July 27, 1949 to Dorothy and Bill Norton.

Beloved husband of 42 years to Debra.  Jeff and Debbie were married on April 22, 1978, at St Mary s Church in Downers Grove, IL

Brother of John (Carol) Norton  of Monticello and Bruce (Kay) of Rushford, MN.

Loving uncle to nieces and nephews. Fond Godfather to  Rebecca (Norton) Jetton and Danielle Reagin

Brother - in- law to: Kathy Reagin and Maureen Lasseigne.  Loving  nephew  to Aunt Marlene, and cousins: Joel and Mary Bremmer.  Also Dear friend of many years to both Jeff and Debbie, Margaret, "Maggie" , Herold.

Over the years, Jeff befriended many close friends and neighbors including his "Brethren", brothers from the St Patrick s Men's Club where he was an active member over the years.

He graduated from Winona Senior High School, Winona , Mn. in 1967.    He also attended classes at Joliet Jr. College and Morton Arboretum .

Jeff was employed at Watkins Industries, Northern Stares Power  in Winona, MN, and later at Lemont High School, and K& K Ironworks , where he retired in 2016.

Jeff enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and gardening and a "good game of cards"

 He could be found down at the quarries early in the mornings  always fishing and enjoying the wildlife. He also took pride in his gardening and always shared  his" catch of fish " and vegetables with his family, neighbors, and close friends.

Jeff and Debbie did everything together and really enjoyed their time after retirement, traveling and enjoying time with family and friends.

Proceeded in death by his parents: Dorothy and Bill Norton, his grandparents, and "Grandma”  Josephine  Sczepaniak.

Funeral mass is private by reservation only at St Patrick Church, 200 Illinois St. Lemont, on Friday, May 21, at 10 am.

Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. in the church before mass.
