Rocky Mountain Way Posted Wednesday, September 21, 2011 06:01 AM by Joe Walsh reminds me of senior year. I remember playing that tape on my 8 track in my Duster until it was wore out! Also played Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting by Elton John all the time. I never fought on Sat. night or any other night so not sure why that was so popular a song for me. |

RE: Rocky Mountain Way Posted Wednesday, September 21, 2011 07:25 PM Wow! You're right - that one does remind me of high school days. I was on a road trip today and heard some other songs from the era - Rock 'n' Rock Hoochie Koo, Smokin' in the Boy's Room, We're an American Band and Come and Get Your Love. The Elton I remember most from that time was Bennie and the Jets! I think music is the closest we'll ever get to a time machine. Music takes me back to a very specific place. Appreciate your thoughts, Tracey! |
