by Joe Walsh reminds me of senior year. I remember playing that tape on my 8 track in my Duster until it was wore out! Also played Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting by Elton John all the time. I never fought on Sat. night or any other night so not sure why that was so popular a song for me.

Wow! You're right - that one does remind me of high school days. I was on a road trip today and heard some other songs from the era - Rock 'n' Rock Hoochie Koo, Smokin' in the Boy's Room, We're an American Band and Come and Get Your Love.

The Elton I remember most from that time was Bennie and the Jets!

I think music is the closest we'll ever get to a time machine. Music takes me back to a very specific place.

Appreciate your thoughts, Tracey!

There are several songs that remind me of high school days:at Big N:

Time in a Bottle - Jim Croce

Beach Baby - First Class

Rock and Roll Heaven - The Righteous Brothers

Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress - The Hollies

Someday Never Comes - Creedence Clearwater Revival

My Maria - B W Stevenson

An Old Fashioned Love Song / Joy to the World - 3 Dog Night

School's Out / Elected - Alice Cooper

The Streak - Ray Stevens

The Wildwood Weed - Jim Stafford

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Elton

Clap For the Wolfman - The Guess Who with Wolfman Jack

Does anybody out there in Viking Land remember those? Some are very dated and some became classics, Who knew back in 1974?
