David was a great guy!He was so funny. He was also my cousin.I lost contact after we graduated but I heard it took him awhile but he found the love of his life. She died early...they didn't have much time together and I think he was never quite the same. He left us all way to soon.

David was and will always be my best friend. I can't believe he's gone and I don't think I'll ever get over it. We kept in touch often for the first 10 years after high school, and after that we still got together every now and then. We were just the best of friends and shared everything! He helped me through a difficult divorce - always making me laugh! Every time we saw each other, it was like going back in time to the 10th grade and Mr.Carter's class at Mt. Tabor. We had fond memories of "smoking in the parking lot" at North too, buying "Iceberg 10's" at the drug store and waiting in long lines for $5 worth of gas in 1972-73. We went to hockey games and concerts and we loved going to Los Amigos!

Years later, I had remarried and moved away, and David met Sandy - the love of his life. I was so happy for them. They hadn't been married long when I lost my husband to cancer, but I had moved to Washington so I didn't tell David for several years - not until after I remarried out here. Then the sad day came when he called and told me that Sandy had cancer. We talked for hours. I felt so bad for him. We talked more often and saw each other a couple times after Sandy died but he was never the same.

David died suddenly in July 2008 of a massive heart attack and I was devastated. I still have his number in my cell phone and every now and then I just want to call him so bad. I can't say enough good about David, I miss him so much.

A lot of people thought David and I were destined to be together, but we were always more like brother and sister. We shared so much, so many good times, so many heartaches. We laughed together and cried. We shared the same love for Christ as well and often talked about faith and miracles that we experienced in life.

I know David is in heaven now and I sure hope he's with Sandy. If he is, I know he's happy.
