Ligons Winston-Salem Johnny Mack Ligons Sr. 10/29/1958 - 08/18/2015 Johnny Mack Ligons Sr., 56, was born on October 29, 1958 to McCombs Ligons and Daisy Sloan Ligons in Belton, SC. Johnny departed this life Tuesday morning August 18, 2015 at his home in W-S, NC after a brief period of illness. He was a 1976 graduate of North Forsyth High School and also attended NC Central University. He was a sales representative at Hanes Brands and was employed at Deere Hitachi. Johnny was an avid golf and tennis player. He was a referee for basketball and football in the triad. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life and legacy his wife, Beverly Stinson Ligons of W-S, NC; one daughter, Johnelle Ligons of Beltsville, MD; one son, Johnny Ligons, Jr. of W-S, NC; two sisters, Carolyn (Rev. Donald) Stowe, Jr. and Linda Ligons, both of W-S, NC; one brother, Rev. Willie (Marian) Smith, Sr. of Anderson, SC; one sister-in-law, Kathy (Glendale) Jennings of W-S, NC; two brothers-in-law, Robert (Shirley) Stinson and Christopher Stinson both of W-S, NC; two devoted aunts, Mrs. Mable Hauser and Mrs. Mamie Lee Sloan of W-S, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Second Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Stowe, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
