WINSTON-SALEM 10/6/1947 - 11/2/2017 Mr. Richard Anderson, 70, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. Born in Trenton, MI to Alexander and Norma Anderson he spent his childhood in Toledo, OH. He went on to graduate from Bowling Green University and received his MBA from DePaul University. Richard passed away while running which was his life's passion. He spent years as a marathon runner, was an active member of the Twin City Track Club and The Winston-Salem Ski & Outing Club.

Richard was a Commercial Real Estate Broker & Developer. Richard is survived by his wife Maira, his son and daughter in law, Timothy and Ann Marie Anderson of Portland, OR, his daughter and son law, Ashley & Lee Powell of Winston-Salem, his son Andris' Zalitis' of Winston-Salem, his daughters S'anta and Elina Zalite of Winston-Salem, his grandchildren Mackenzie, Addison, Cameron and Lee Powell of Winston-Salem, May and Margaret Anderson of Portland, OR, his sisters Vicki Anderson and Julie Anderson of Houston, TX and his sister Sally Jones and her husband Roger of Bentonville, AK as well as his many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. There will be a Memorial Service on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Reynolda Presbyterian, 2200 Reynolda Road, Winston-Salem with a visitation to follow.
