Obituary for Nicholas Michael Pasternak

Nicholas M. Pasternak, 46, of Sanford Fla. was found to have died of natural causes on June 12, 2012. Nick was a born in Titusville and was raised in Lake Worth and Winter Park. He attended Glen Ridge Jr. and Winter Park High School. He was founder and owner of "Interstate Tile". Within the last six years, Nick was following his true vocation as a seaman, being a proud member of the Rivership Romance in Sanford. Nick was in the final stages of attaining his Captain's license, as well as planning to start an "Eco Environmental Tour" of the St. Johns river. Nick was a selfless, giving and thoughtful person, always helping others in their times of need, without regard for himself; exemplified by rescuing a friend from drowning, without a second thought or needing any accolades.

Beloved friend to many, Son of Robert M. and Celia J. Pasternak, he is survived by his sister, Lissa Pasternak, uncle Richard Waldsmith and cousins Dinah Dittman and James (Kirk) and Kent Waldsmith.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday June 21 at the Bettye Smith Cultural Arts Center, 119 W. 5thSt., Sanford, FL 6pm – 10pm.

Arrangements entrusted to DeGusipe Funeral Home & Crematory; 905 Laurel Ave. Sanford, Florida 32771 (407) 322-5131
