I headed the the University of Vermont after high school to study Physical Therapy and graduated in 1984. From there I headed to Boston for a couple years with my roommate from college and worked at an acute care hospital in Woburn, Massachusetts and then a rehabilitation hospital in Salem, Massachusetts. I had a lot of fun both at work and exploring Boston.
In 1986 I got married and we moved to Salem, New Hampshire and I continued to commute to Salem, Massachusetts which was an hour on a good day and who knows how long on the not so good days. In 1988, with no possessions or children yet, Don and I spent a summer touring the United States by small pickup truck and pup tent. It was an awesome experience... a sure way to get to know your spouse very well! We continued to do more traveling to Austria, Germany and Italy, as well as many smaller trips before settling down in Vermont just north of Burlington and just south of Canada! Oh...we did have to go back to work too!
In 1991 we had our first son, Matthew, who just graduated from High School this year. He is headed to University of New England in Biddeford,Maine to study Biology in September. Our second son, Daniel, was born 2 years later and will be a Junior in High School this year.
I have continued to work as a Physical Therapist in a hospital and home health settings. Home health can be a very interesting adventure in the wilds of Vermont!
Don and I try to stay active especially with hiking and kayaking. We live in a beautiful area to do both.
