I grew up in Woodbrige and would complete my High School education at Amity. Matter of fact, I graduated with my class in 64. Last year, I attended my 50th reunion in East Haven..Besides getting to see so many friends and acquaintances, one of the most impactful things I saw that day, was the board of "In Memory. I found myself standing there shaking my head as I learned of my classmates, who were no longer with us.I must say as I scanned the list I felt a large lump in my throat and huge void in my life. Frankly, even today, I am not sure I have gotten over the loses and the list yet?!?

Since in those years, there wasn't much difference between individuals in classes, I also felt close to those in the class of 65. Somehow, I have found myself listed as part of your (65) class web site. I found that you had your "In Memory" board on the site. Viewing that list, I found myself with the same sad feelings I had last summer, looking at the poster board.. Obviosiously, of course the lists of those that passed were different but the deep emotions hadn't.

Then the other day, John Hoyt completed the circle of another missing classmate, John Napier. I knew John maybe better than all the others on both lists. His passing in 2001 was unknown to me. I was schocked to hear he had left us so early. He was a complete free spirit and didn't follow the established paths the majority of us would take. He had that impish love of people and a free lifestyle. He choose the profession of a DJ and I am certain every minute of his broadcast were aimed to make his listeners laugh.

To those of you that will be attending the reunion this summer, please look around carefully, because where ever there is happiness and laughter, if you look carefully, you will see John!!!!

Miss you Buddy, from your older friend from Woodbridge, who was from the Class of 64
