Never in a million years, I would have thought that I would end up working for California Dept. of Corrections. I didn't know what I wanted to do back then, but never this. My goal is to one day become a criminal attorney. So, this is why I decided to move to the state with the highest crime rate. No fear of unemployment... I always thought Hollywood exagerated a little with the movie "Colors", but the times I worked behind bars made me change that thought. My most memorable day in prison was my first year. Some inmate said, "How are you doing today". I remembered looking up and seeing Marion "Suge" Knight. We talked for a litte while and no I didn't ask him who killed Tupac! I have so many amazing stories to tell, but I don't have enough space. Working with paroles put me in a change of environment. Now, instead of monitoring inmates, I'm arresting them for violating parole. The next step in my life is finishing my career with LAPD. I know it seems crazy, but it's kind of exciting. I hope to make it in LAPD as a detective one day. After it is over, I will have enough experience and understanding of gangs in California to become a great criminal attorney in California.
