MOORESVILLE -- Mrs. Pennington, 41, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, March 24, 2005, after a courageous 6+ year battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by her family and friends who meant the world to her. Susan was born in Washington, DC, on September 23, 1963, to Robert and Johanna Geiger. 
Susan was educated in the Prince William County Public School System and graduated in 1981. She was employed by Allstate Insurance Company for the last 15 years. She was a faithful member of Davidson United Methodist Church for the last 7 years. 
Susan is survived by her loving husband of the last twenty years, Chip Pennington, who was truly the love of her life and soul mate in all ways. In addition to her loving parents, she is also survived by her brother, Ronald Geiger, of Valrico, FL, and nephews, Jonathan and Jacob; brother, John Geiger, of Woodbridge, VA, and nephews, Frankie, Tyler and Riley; brother, Daniel Geiger, of Tampa, FL, and his wife, Ting, and their children, Ethan and Emily. Special niece, Jessica Leverett and husband, Buddy, of Valrico, FL; and sister-in-law, Angie Geiger, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She is also survived by mother and father-in-law, Jan and Del Pennington; Nana, Neva Himes; sister-in-law, Jill Marion, of Moyock, NC, and husband, Shane, and their children, Ryan, Dylan and Jordyn; and sister-in-law, Joy Villagomez, of Fairfax, VA, and husband, Dennis, and their children, Julia and Cole.

So sad.  I knew Susan since my first days of school.  She had the nicest smile to be found, and was the  nicest person as well.  I still have the 5th grade class picture with her standing in the second row with that wonderful smile.  I have not kept track of most of my former classmates, but knowing Susan is no longer with us is a shame.
