Sadly we announce the loss of our classmate Steve Hracek.
Steven Lyle Hracek, 58, of Cuthbert, GA died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. The family will have a visitation on Saturday, December 8th from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Lunsford Funeral Home. A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
Steve was born November 24, 1954 in Sandersville, Ga., to Peggy Ethridge of Cuthbert and the late Emil Fabian (Zeke) Hracek. He earned a business degree from James Madison University in Virginia. He was a former State Trooper in Virginia and a retired U. S. Secret Service Agent. He had made Cuthbert, GA his home for 22 years.
Survivors include his Mother Peggy Ethridge, son Steven L. Hracek II, daughter; Kelly Dawn Hracek, brother Kenneth Franklin Ethridge and sister Peggy Hracek Wampler.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the favorite charity of your choice.

Steve died of a massive heart attack Saturday morning, December 1, 2012. He had at least five attacks and the doctors were not able to keep reviving him.He had managed to call 911 and make it outside to his patio/porch before collasping. EMS first carried him to Cuthbert Hospital then transfered to Albany. During this time he had five more attacks,doing massive heart damage. The family opted not to place/ continue life suppport at this time.He is survived by two grown children Steven and Kelly Hracek, and Shelia Hracek, the mother of his children. Also surviving are his mother Peggy Ethridge, a sister Peg Wampler, and brother Ken Ethridge.His father Emil ( Zeke) Hracek precessed him recently. His grandparents were Pearle Lanier and Lyle Ethridge
